Prompt #1: "Who Are You?" [open]
This all depends on who's asking.

To most, I'm a simple good ol' boy known as Theodore Forrester. Ted lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he's engaged, a bounty hunter and generally a very nice person. But that's not the real me, I try to keep it so that no one knows the person who hides himself behind black Wrangler's and a Southern drawl.
To the rest of the world, I'm either the high-dollar assassin Edward or the psychopathic end to their lives. I only hunt the preternatural, things like vampires and lycanthropes, now that humans have become too easy for me. Leave them for the cheap, local hitmen; you call Edward when you want the fanged or furry done in the right way. Having the 100k minimum price helps as well.
Anita Blake, on the other hand, knows more about me than any one person in the world. She's more or less my pupil, the person I give guns and flamethrowers to when she needs them. I can always afford to buy her new toys, though I doubt she thinks many of them are new. My greatest desire is to hunt her down--no vampire marks, no quasi-lycanthropy, none of that--to see which of us is better at the game.

My little secret? I might not win drawing down on her, and that pleases me to no end. That means I've done something right.
